Asim Roy M.D.
Chief Medical Officer & Co-Founder
Board certified in sleep medicine and neurology, Dr. Roy works in close collaboration with health care providers to deliver continuous and coordinated sleep medicine care to adult and pediatric patients. Dr. Roy brings a thorough and thoughtful approach to patient care, in line with the comprehensive standards of our institute. He is the author of various articles, chapters, and books, covering, among other topics, sleep and neurological disorders, restless legs syndrome, idiopathic hypersomnia, confusional arousals and sleepwalking, cataplexy and REM sleep behavior disorder. Dr. Roy completed his neurology residency at Georgetown University as Chief Resident and his sleep and neurophysiology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Dr. Roy serves as the Chief Medical Officer for SleepDDS.
Brandon Canfield D.D.S.
Chief Dental Officer & Co-Founder
After receiving his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University, Dr. Canfield continued his studies at OSU earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Dr. Canfield’s interest in sleep dentistry was brought on by his own suffering from sleep apnea which was relieved by wearing an oral appliance. Dr. Canfield is a founding member of Ohio Sleep Treatment, Chief Executive Officer of Sleep DDS, a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.
Collin Emerick D.D.S.
Chief Clinical Officer & Co-Founder
After receiving his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University, Dr. Emerick earned his dental degree from New York University College of Dentistry in New York City. Dr. Emerick helped successfully treat Dr. Canfield’s sleep apnea by fabricating an oral appliance he could use at night. He was intrigued by sleep dentistry after seeing the improvement the oral appliance made in Dr. Canfield’s quality of life. Since then, he has devoted himself to learning all that he can about obstructive sleep apnea and the various treatments available. Dr. Emerick is a founding member of Ohio Sleep Treatment, Chief Dental Officer of Sleep DDS, a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.

A proud graduate of The Ohio State University, Rob is operations professional with unique experiences in the military and civilian world. Competencies in moving young companies in a positive direction, establishing operational procedures and policies, and building and managing professional relationships while mentoring and cultivating my teams. Reading often about leadership and emotional intelligence, Rob remains diligent in developing the skills necessary for working with others, often asking for feedback about personal and team performance. A growth mindset is crucial to individual and organizational success. He is a partner of Ohio Sleep Treatment and a founding member of Sleep DDS.
John Cogan PH.D.
Chief Technology Officer
John received a 1st Class Honours in Mechanical Engineering from University College Dublin and then a Ph.D. in Bio-Medical Engineering from Trinity College Dublin in 1997. He has spent most of his 25 years of working life in remote patient monitoring. He has worked with medical device startups to collect their data and develop a platform to communicate and display this data. He proposed the first sleep data IEEE protocols. He worked for FDA medical device approval for respiratory monitoring medical devices. He worked with medical device contract manufacturers in China. He worked with startup BiancaMed to establish partnerships with Omron in Japan and was ultimately acquired by ResMed CPAP manufacture.
